last day

Today I organised the order folder.I had to put each form in order of date starting on the 17th in the 'to prepare' folder. Then I started filling ballons with sand to make weights;then I made all the weights for this weekend.After that I went around the shop and out things back in the corrects places and then I helped put new costumes out.

day five!

Today was my 5th day in Party Mad.The shop got a new counter put in during the weekend so I had to move all the boxes of balloons from the old counter and organise them under the new counter.Then I had to make weights for the orders for this week.I learnt to use the till today.I got to use it a couple of times by myself.

Week 4!

Today in work expericence I priced napkins,plates and cups and stacked them neatly on a shelf.Then I made some weights by pouring sand into balloons.After that I did what I did last week with the boxes for a while;then I went through the orders for next week and made the weights for them and put them in a bag with the correct colour ballons!

Today I had a very busy day.There was 20 boxes of new stock that I had to price and count;so firstly I had to unpack a box,then find the items code on a list then get its dollar price and convert it into euro and stick the sticker on the item and mark how many of each item was in each box(eg 10 hats).Then when I had priced and marked them off the list I had to put all the items in the box I had to put them all back into the box because they are not going out onto the shelves until after the sale.Then I started the next box and did the same thing.I got through 15 of the 20 boxes.

My Second Day!

Today I learned how to use the pricing gun!I got a list of items that where in a box and had to price each one and put it on a hook.I had to rearrange a wall to make room for the things from the box.When I had emptyed the box I had to make weights so I filled 96 ballons with sand.Then I helped get the orders ready;so I cut ribbion and put the weights together.Then I had to count ballons to put in bags for the orders for next week.

1st day of my 3rd work experience!

Today I started my work experienec in the local party shop called 'Party Mad'.
Today during my work experience I learned how to make weights to go on balloons.I had to cut lots of ribbion in differnt colours and then tie them onto the balloons filled with sand,then stick stickers on the and wrap them up and tie them with ribbion and curl the ribbion.Then I helped organise the costumes on the back wall.I had to take them all down and help put them back up with the other costumes that matched;for example I had to put all the nurse costumes and accessories together.Then I stacked party cups and put them on shelves beside the d napkins and plates that matched.After that I had to put the candles and balloons in order of age;so I had to put all the 1s together,all the 2s together and so on.
I had a good day and am looking forward to going back next week because I am going to be learning how ordering online works.

My Last Day in the Primary School :(

Today was my last day of my work experience in Scoil Naomh Bríd.
This morning I cut out letters for a sign for their new reading corner.Then I had to stick the sign up  at the back of the class.After I helped do mothers day art.Everyone did a picture for the front of their cards so I had to fold big sheets of paper and stick their pictures to the outside;then I had to stick a plain white A4 sheet inside the card for the girls to write their messages to their mams.Then they wrote out a poem and I had to stick the inside the card too.After that I swapped their readers and put their homework into folders.Just before going home I ruled some copies for the teacher.Then I gave her a thank you card and a box of sweets;and she gave me a thank you card,a box of sweets and my evaluation sheet.
I have really enjoyed this work experience placement;I have learnt lot and had lots of fun getting to know the senior infants and learning about primary school teacher.
